Newsletter of Hope - Glory to Glory

 Glory To Glory

2Corinthians 3:16-18.NKJV. Nevertheless when one turns to the Lord, the veil is taken away.  Now the Lord is the Spirit; and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty.  But we all, with unveiled face, beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as by the Spirit of the Lord.

When I first saw this scripture the part where it says ‘from glory to glory’ just stuck with me.  As I pondered on this I can see that’s what’s happening.  I look back at myself from when I first asked Jesus into my heart 17yrs ago until last year, I can see I have changed, as I look back even just 6 months, I see even more change.  God is changing me from the inside out.  These last few months I have been on my face weeping, I have shed many tears in His presence giving Him my all.  I have been broken before Him, releasing past hurts to the Lord that were buried and hidden, being uncovered by the Holy Spirit. Healing and freeing me from pains that I had forgotten about and buried. As I draw close to God in fasting and prayer, as I spend time with Him seeking His face, as I worship Him, as I give thanks to Him, as I surrender more and more of myself change is happening.  I don’t always recognise the change straight away but its happening.

The truth is the more we submit to the Lord, the more we are obedient to His directions, the more we commit to Him we will see change.  I know on many occasions I have not been obedient to what the Lord has asked of me, when He said to me to spend more time in His Word and didn’t because I became distracted with something else or when He has said to go speak to that person and I didn’t out of fear, when he said I need you to stay up a bit longer or I need to get up early to pray but I turned over and went to sleep.

What I can say is I am doing better day by day ‘Glory to Glory”. I am changing month by month.  Father God is a loving father, merciful and gracious, he’s a good good Father and very very patient.  Just as a parent is with a baby learning to walk, when they fall down the parent picks them up again, when a toddler cries because they have done something wrong and hurt themselves, the parent picks them up and comforts them and gives them instructions on what not to do again, but do it this way instead.  We have a loving Father who wants to love on us, but he also disciplines us and gives us direction, instruction and wisdom on how to do life and how to do ourselves.

Psalms 139:13-16TPT. You formed my innermost being, shaping my delicate inside and my intricate outside and my intricate outside, and wove them all together in my mother’s womb.  I thank you, God, for making me so mysteriously complex!  Everything you do is marvellously breathtaking.  It simply amazes me to think about it!  How thoroughly you know me, Lord!  You even formed every bone in my body when you created me in the secret place; carefully, skillfully you shaped me from nothing to something.  You saw who you created me to be before I became me!  Before I’d ever seen the light of day, the number of days you planned for me were already recorded in your book.

From an early age the devil wants to steal, kill and destroy. He wants to lie to you and tell you, you are not who you are.  He wants to distort the image you have of yourself, he wants you to believe lies, he does not want you to fulfil the plan of God on your life, to know who you truly are, this is what he does.  For me that started through abuse, for others it could be something different. He stole my identity, planning to kill and destroy BUT GOD had other plans. As I renew my mind in the Word, as I spend time in His presence I am learning who I truly am.  The lies of the devil are being uncovered and the truth is being revealed.

I want to encourage you today to draw close to God, let Him into your life into the smallest detail.  Put Him first, spend time in His Word and in that quiet place with Him away from all distractions.  You will do life better and you will do you better.

God has a wonderful plan for you and wants to spend time with you.  He wants a relationship with you.  You are here for a purpose, for a reason.  Don’t let the devil continue to steal from you, submit to God and then resist the devil.  You will see change, you will become who God predestined you to be and throw off the old distorted image that the devil wanted you to believe you are and put on the new you, the Child of the most High God.

James 4:7-8 ESV Submit yourselves therefore to God.  Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.  Draw near to God, and he will draw near to you.

2 Corinthians 5:17ESV Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation.  The old has passed away; behold, the new has come.

If you don’t know the Lord as your Saviour, and would like to let Him into your heart, simply cry out to Him, ask Him to come into your heart, to forgive you of your sins.  Call on His name. Find a place that you can go to for fellowship and be taught the Word of God or get in touch, send me a message..

John 14:6 ESV Jesus said to him,”I am the way and the truth and the life. NO ONE comes to the Father except through me

Remember NO ONE is promised tomorrow, be sure that you will be going to Heaven.

Love Denise

Newsletter of Hope - My people perish for the lack of knowledge

My people perish for the lack of knowledge   When we believe something or have been trained and taught in some way it can be difficult to change that thinking.  People can talk to you until they are blue in the face and still you continue to believe what you believed before. What has been instilled into you.  Your mindset about something. How do we change if something we are doing or thinking is not a benefit to us yet we still continue to do it? Hosea 4:6 My people are destroyed for the lack of knowledge, because thou hast rejected  knowledge …. Notice in Hosea 4:6 it says they reject knowledge, so are rejecting the Word of God! When I was a young believer I was struggling with fear in my life.  I had had prayer and knew I had been set free from that hold, yet I was still experiencing those feelings and emotions associated with fear.  At that time I wanted the Lord to take it all away, for I hated fear, I hated feeling weak and not being able to do...

Newsletter of Hope - Obedience - what does that look like?

Obedience - what does that look like? Obedience means - compliance with a command.  Obedience may be voluntary or involuntary.  Voluntary obedience alone can be acceptable to God. Abstaining from what is prohibited.  These are a few things that I came across when looking up what Obedience means. Over this last while Holy Spirit has been working with me on my obedience to Him. Obeying His promptings as He shows me and not putting other things first.   When I was out posting the last Newsletter through the doors of my street, I looked down an alleyway and saw a person sitting on the ground.  Instantly, I thought to go and chat to this person to see if they were okay.  Instead of doing that I finished posting the last 3 Newsletters through the doors as that was the last three houses I had to do to finish the job.  When I walked back to the lane that person was gone.  This really caused me to see that I put finishing that job first before b...

Newsletter of Hope - Staying Focused

STAYING FOCUSED  I was away 6 days just recently in Scotland.  We went over to attend a Seminar.  When we arrived we decided to walk to the building that the meetings would be held in to give us a guide to how long it would take us to walk in the mornings to arrive on time and also to check out the area and buy some food for meals for our stay at the apartment that we were staying in. The walk involved walking through a forest park that was close to were we were staying. It was a beautiful place.  On the way a beautiful dog came our way off the lead, my attention went to this dog and how lovely its eyes were.  The next thing I know I am on the ground.  I had went down a hole in the ground and went over on my ankle.  My knee on the left was bleeding and bruised and my right foot ankle was sore.   My initial THOUGHTS were ‘Oh no, I’m going to have to go to the hospital and get this checked out, I saw me walking with crutches etc and the da...
